ROBERT ATTENDS PREMIERE OF NEW TOM HANKS VEHICLE... - March 10, 2008

Robert X. Golphin recently attended the Virginia premiere of the new Tom Hanks produced, HBO miniseries "John Adams", where Hanks, Paul Giamatti, Tom Hooper, and David McCullough introduced the nine part epic.

Golphin was originally cast for the production. He said the film had him on the edge of his "seat the whole time, and that hasn't happened since I saw 'Mystic River'."

"John Adams" will air Sundays on HBO. Check your listings for showtime.

ROBERT ACKNOWLEDGED AT PRESS CONFERENCE... - February 18, 2008

At a press conference for the release of the new Bill Duke film, "Cover", one of the film's stars, Clayton Prince introduced Robert X. Golphin to the film's director Bill Duke and stars, Grammy Winner Mya Harrison and Rev. Clifton Davis.

Duke and Davis publicly congratulated Golphin on his work in the Denzel Washington film, "The Great Debaters".

Golphin later interviewed Duke and Prince at the Philadelphia premiere of the film. Those interviews will air on an upcoming episode of Reelblack TV.

"THE GREAT DEBATERS" WINS BIG AT IMAGE AWARDS... - February 14, 2008

Robert X. Golphin ("The Great Debaters") shares in the joy of the film winning "Best Picture" at The NAACP Image Awards last evening.

His fellow castmates, Denzel Washington, Denzel Whitaker, and Jurnee Smollett also picked up awards for their roles.

Singapore is slated (according to imdb.com) to begin screening "The Great Debaters" on February 21, 2008.

In the Denzel Washington directed picture, Robert X. Golphin portrays the role of Dunbar Reed.

ROBERT ACCEPTS AWARD FROM OSCAR NOMINEE.. - February 4, 2008

Last year Robert X. Golphin accepted the Parisi 2nd Prize for "Best Screenwriter 25 Years Old Or Under" for his screenplay, "Between Midnight & Mourning".

Golphin's award was presented by Academy Award nominated screenwriter, Stephen J. Rivele (Nixon, Ali) at a press conference during the Set In Philadelphia Screenplay Competition.

"GREAT DEBATERS" COMES TO DVD APRIL... - February 2, 2008

Check out Robert X. Golphin in the award-winning Denzel Washington film, "The Great Debaters" NOW PLAYING in theaters nationwide.

The film is reportedly set to arrive on DVD April 29th.

Golphin plays Dunbar Reed in the film.

CONGRATULATING MS. RUBY DEE ON HER ACTOR WIN & OSCAR NOD.... - January 27, 2008

The legendary Ruby Dee has won Best Supporting Actress at The Sag Awards.

She is nominated for the same category at the Academy Awards for her potrayal as Denzel Washington's mother in "American Gangster".

Though "Gangster" and "The Great Debaters" did not make the Oscar (or SAG) list, Robert X. Golphin is very excited for Ms. Dee finally being recognized in this manner.

2008 also marks eleven years since his debut film, "Stricken: Teens Face Aids".

Robert X. Golphin attended a special advance screening of "The Great Debaters" in Philadelphia this evening.

Golphin signed a few autographs, posed for pictures and was congratulated by friends, family, colleagues and audience members for his contribution to the film.

Golphin plays Dunbar Reed in "The Great Debaters", which will be released on Christmas Day.

The film as expected was received extremely well.
