ROB'S FILM TO SCREEN AT PHILAFILM FESTIVAL MONDAY - June 21, 2009
It has just been announced that Robert X. Golphin's multiple award-nominated film, "Beautiful Man In The Buff", will screen at the 32nd Annual Philafilm: Philadelphia International Film Festival & Marketplace on Monday, June 22nd at 9:45 PM at the African American Art Museum on 7th & Arch Street in Philadelphia.
This screening will likely conclude the film festival circuit run.

STAR OF ROBERT X. GOLPHIN'S "SCHOOL DAZE" TO PERFORM W/ LORETTA DEVINE - June 4, 2009
Stephen Slates co-starred as "Julian" in Robert X. Golphin's authorized stage rendition of Spike Lee's "School Daze".
Slates will perform at the Hollywood Black Film Festival's 2009 Storyteller Competition Live Staged Reading, which will be headlined by Loretta Devine and Obba Babatunde on Friday, June 5th in Los Angeles, California.
The event is FREE and open to the public and directed and produced by Donald B. Welch.

ROBERT'S NEW FLICK - May 26, 2009
Robert X. Golphin co-stars in the new motion picture short, "In Heaven's Court", a drama written, produced, and directed by John Cuie, Jr., and based on the feature length screenplay.
In the film, Robert plays an attorney who fights to protect his client's civil rights against corporate corruption and employment discrimination.
The film co-stars Tony Kates, Gina Maria Destra, and Patricia Valdez. It is produced by Edwin "Bo" Diaz. Now in the final stages of post-production, the film is expected to hit the festival circuit this year.
A trailer for the film has yet to be released.
BRIAN McKNIGHT WINS THOUSANDS FOR YOUTHVILLE, USA - May 14, 2009
R&B Superstar, Brian McKnight may have heard the words: "You're Fired" from Donald Trump on the NBC reality series "Celebrity Apprentice". But not before winning $20,000 for his charity, Youthville, USA. In this clip from NBC.com, McKnight presents the check to Youthville founders, Victor & Saundra Brooks.
Robert X. Golphin is now developing a new documentary about this North Carolina based non-profit agency, which provides foster care, vocational and children's services as well as promotes arts and culture to disadvantaged young people. What began as a student produced documentary in college has turned into a five year odyssey.
The following promo features interviews with International Recording Artists, Julie McKnight and Victor Brooks, II, Youthville, USA founders, Victor & Saundra Brooks, and Diane Higginbottom. Some interviews with celebs and notables have already been filmed, and may appear in the completed project.
Brian McKnight is Youthville, USA's National Spokesperson & Advisory Board Member.

JULIAN THOMAS WINS ADDY AWARD - March 10, 2009
Julian Thomas, an award-winning photographer, and graphic design artist is a 2009 recipient of a Silver Student ADDY® Award for landscape photography.

Robert X. Golphin and his "Beautiful Man In The Buff" ("BMIB") co-star presented the Best Director Award to Mark Webber for the feature film, "Explicit Ills" at the 2008 Downbeach Film Festival Sunday evening.
Golphin was nominated for Best Actor In A Short Film for "BMIB" and Panichelli for the same award for the film, "The Cage". HBO "Entourage" star, Adrien Grenier took home the award for his role in the short film, "Across The Hall".
"BMIB" was also nominated for Best Short Film. The award was given to "Across The Hall".

Golphin presented the Silver Awards for Best Feature to Kenya Cagle for "Thug Kidz" and Derrell Lawrence for "Life Isn't Fair". The Gold Award went to Evangelos & George Giovanis for "Run It".
